OSHKOSH, Wis., Feb 26, 2010 — Oshkosh Defense, a division of Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK), received the 2009 Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year (MOTY), winning the Grand Award in the “Mega” category for companies with more than 750 employees. Oshkosh was selected as the top company in this annual state-wide competition among Wisconsin-based manufacturers.

Oshkosh Defense was recognized for its operations and business excellence during the past year, and was judged on criteria, including financial growth, environmental solutions, technological advancement, operational excellence, commitment to employees and community support.

For Oshkosh Defense, 2009 was a remarkable year. The Defense division won two major contracts and hired hundreds of new employees. The division first received an award on June 30, 2009 for the MRAP All-Terrain Vehicle (M-ATV) program, resulting in a $4.74 billion contract for 8.079 vehicles to be used in Afghanistan’s harsh rugged terrain. The contract award brought an immediate ramp up in production for this brand-new vehicle. This was an “urgent” needs project for the U.S. Army, and Oshkosh and its employees were able to design, test, build and begin delivering these life-saving vehicles to Afghanistan in less than a year — a truly remarkable accomplishment.

The next significant award came on Aug. 26, 2009 for the Army’s Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV).These two momentous programs are in addition to the existing programs and vehicles that Oshkosh provides for medium tactical wheeled vehicles for the Marine Corps and the Family of Heavy Tactical Vehicles (FHTV) for the Army.

OSHKOSH, Wis. — Feb. 24, 2010 — Oshkosh Defense, a division of Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK), is displaying two new tactical wheeled vehicles in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., today through Friday (Feb. 24-26) at the annual Association of United States Army (AUSA) Winter Symposium and Exposition. Two new variants of the MRAP All-Terrain Vehicle (M-ATV) are making their debut at the event, as is – for the first time in the Oshkosh booth – an Oshkosh truck from the U.S. Army’s Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV).

“This AUSA event is a great opportunity for Oshkosh Defense to demonstrate our support for the U.S. Army and showcase our newest offerings to military personnel across all ranks,” said Andy Hove, Oshkosh Corporation executive vice president and president, Defense. “The face-to-face conversations taking place at this show allow us to gather important feedback and information, which we use to continually improve our military vehicles.”

The new utility and ambulance M-ATV variants on display at AUSA offer new capabilities and mission profiles while maintaining the durable, best-in-class mobility and superior crew protection of the original M-ATV offering. Utility and ambulance M-ATVs were developed to allow military operations to provide critical casualty care and resupply services in unforgiving landscapes where tactical missions must operate. The M-ATV has provided superior off-road mobility for harsh mountainous terrain and unimproved road networks in places like Afghanistan. To date, the company has received orders valued at more than $4.74 billion to supply 8,079 M-ATVs, spare parts kits and in-theater aftermarket support.

Oshkosh also is displaying a vehicle from the company’s newest truck fleet, the Army’s FMTV. The Army awarded Oshkosh with the FTMV competitive rebuy contract on Aug. 26, 2009, which was sustained by the Army on Feb. 12 following a GAO directed review. The FMTV is a series of vehicles consisting of up to 23 variants and 17 different models, ranging from 2.5-ton to 5-ton payloads. Oshkosh now has a five-year, firm fixed-price requirements contract for the production of up to 23,000 vehicles and trailers, as well as support services and engineering. Oshkosh is currently working on an initial FMTV delivery order valued at $280.9 million for the production and delivery of 2,568 trucks and trailers. Oshkosh already produces the Army’s Family of Heavy Tactical Vehicles (FHTV).

Additionally a custom-painted, Army-themed Harley Davidson® Fat Boy® motorcycle, one of two grand prizes in the “Rumble With a Cause” sweepstakes benefiting the Armed Forces Foundation (AFF), will be on display at the Oshkosh booth. With the support of Oshkosh, the AFF launched the Rumble With a Cause sweepstakes in October 2009. AFF employees will be on site at AUSA to collect donations and sweepstakes entries. OSHKOSH, Wis. — Feb. 12, 2010 — Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK) today announced the U.S. Army has affirmed the contract award to the Company, originally received on Aug. 26, 2009, to produce the Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV).

The bids of all three competitors for the FMTV program were re-evaluated by the U.S. Army in response to recommendations made by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) following a review of competitors’ protests of the original contract award to the Company. The Army undertook an exhaustive review during this FMTV bidding process and applied fairness and rigor to its decision. Upon completion of a thorough, in-depth re-evaluation, the Army determined the contract would remain with Oshkosh. Additionally, the Army canceled the September 4, 2009, stop-work order it had issued pursuant to the GAO’s protest procedures. The Oshkosh contract allows the Army and U.S. taxpayers to begin realizing significant cost savings for the FMTV program.

OSHKOSH, Wis. — Feb. 11, 2010 — Oshkosh Defense, a division of Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK), has been awarded a delivery order valued at more than $5 million from the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command Life Cycle Management Command (TACOM LCMC) to produce more than 15 next-generation Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Trucks (HEMTT). The order was issued under the Army’s Family of Heavy Tactical Vehicles (FHTV) III contract.

The variants included in the order are M985A4 guided missile transporters (GMT), as well as M977A4 electrical power plant (EPP) and large repair parts transporter (LRPT) cargo trucks. Production is expected to begin in July 2010 and be completed in September 2010. The GMT variant is designed to deliver and load four guided missiles to the launcher using an integrated crane. The EPP cargo truck includes a chassis-mounted electrical power plant, and the LRPT cargo truck is used to store or transport heavy repair parts.

OSHKOSH, Wis. — Feb. 10, 2010 — Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK) today announced that its Defense Division received a delivery order to an existing contract valued at more than $158 million from the U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) for more than 400 Logistics Vehicle System Replacements (LVSR). The order brings the total number of LVSRs under contract to nearly 1,300. With this latest order, LVSR production and delivery is extended into July 2011. More than 385 MKR18 cargo variants will be produced under the order. The remaining variants will be MKR16 tractors.

OSHKOSH, Wis. — Feb. 8, 2010 — Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK) announced today that its Defense division received an award valued at more than $84 million from the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command Life Cycle Management Command (TACOM LCMC) to supply more than 625 add-on armor kits for the MRAP All Terrain Vehicle (M-ATV).

Under the delivery order, Oshkosh will provide explosively formed penetrator (EFP) protection kits for the M-ATV. Delivery of the kits is expected to begin in April 2010 and be completed by the end of August 2010. The Oshkosh-supplied kits will include EFP armor, base door armor and a door-assist mechanism. To date, Oshkosh has received awards valued at more than $4 billion to deliver 6,619 M-ATVs, as well as spare parts kits and aftermarket in-theater support.

The advanced armor system solution for the base Oshkosh M-ATV, prior to installation of EFP kits, has been battle-tested on more than 5,000 legacy MRAPs and thousands of Oshkosh® Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR) Armored Cabs already in theater. Incorporation of the Oshkosh-patented TAK-4® independent suspension system allows the M-ATV to accept add-on armor while maintaining its agile maneuverability and a full payload capacity of up to 4,000 pounds.

In addition to exceptional survivability, the M-ATV delivers superior off-road mobility for Afghanistan’s harsh mountainous terrain and unimproved roads. The TAK-4 system, which has undergone more than 500,000 miles of government testing, gives the vehicle a 70 percent off-road profile capability and 16 inches of independent wheel travel to overcome obstacles and rugged environments.

Existing Oshkosh facilities have the capacity, highly skilled workforce and proven manufacturing capability to deliver this M-ATV order and all other Defense program orders, including the U.S. Army’s Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV), as well as any surges in production.

Timing for the delivery orders is expected to begin in August 2010 and be completed by the end of January 2011. To date, Oshkosh has received awards valued at more than $3.9 billion to deliver 6,619 M-ATVs, as well as spare kits and aftermarket in-theater support.

Oshkosh Defense provides the complete spectrum of service and support for the M-ATV fleet in the Afghan theater. The company already has field service representatives (FSR) to support the M-ATV program in-theater. Building on its experience from Operation Iraqi Freedom, Oshkosh FSRs can operate service facilities on any of the forward operating bases that might require training and more support than internal assets can provide.

Existing Oshkosh manufacturing facilities have available production manufacturing capability to deliver these M-ATV orders and vehicles for all other Defense programs, including the U.S. Army’s Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV), as well as any surges in production. The company has exceeded the accelerated vehicle delivery schedule every month since being awarded the M-ATV contract on June 30, 2009.

Using the Oshkosh-patented TAK-4® independent suspension system, the M-ATV features a 70-percent off-road profile capability and 16 inches of independent wheel travel to deliver the superior off-road mobility that is needed for Afghanistan’s mountainous terrain and unimproved roads. OSHKOSH, Wis. — Jan. 21, 2010 — Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK) announced today that its Defense division received four awards valued at more than $89 million from the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to supply parts for the MRAP All Terrain Vehicle (M-ATV), Heavy Equipment Transporter (HET) and Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT).

Under two delivery orders with the DLA, Oshkosh will supply M-ATV spare parts, including engines, transmissions, transfer cases and alternators. Work under the orders is expected to be completed by October 2010. Under two other delivery orders with the DLA, Oshkosh will supply 2,400 axle assemblies for the HEMTT A2 and A4 models and more than 430 engines for the HET. Work under these orders is expected to be completed by December 2010.

Oshkosh is providing the M-ATV’s spare parts to the DLA to be used as in-the-field replacements after the original vehicle parts have been consumed. These parts will ship without delay to maintain optimal readiness rates for existing vehicles in theater. To date, Oshkosh has received awards valued at more than $3.6 billion to deliver 6,619 M-ATVs, as well as spare kits and aftermarket in-theater support.

OSHKOSH, Wis. — Jan. 8, 2010 — Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE: OSK) today announced that its Defense division has received two delivery orders valued at $31.5 million from Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) to install armor kits on 300 vehicles and manufacture more than 90 Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacements (MTVR) for the U.S. Marine Corps.

Oshkosh Defense will supply the Marine Corps with primarily the cargo variant of the vehicle as well as a few tractors, wreckers and dump variants of the MTVR. Production at the company’s Oshkosh, Wis. facilities will be completed by September 2010. Installation of the MTVR armor kits will be finished at two of the company’s regional service centers in Jacksonville, N.C., and Oceanside, Calif.

The Oshkosh MTVR is an all-terrain, multipurpose logistics vehicle used by the Marines and Navy Seabees. The MTVR uses the Oshkosh® TAK-4® independent suspension system, which has undergone more than 500,000 miles of government testing to achieve superior off-road mobility. Featuring an off-road 7.1-ton payload capacity and an on-road 15-ton payload capacity, the MTVR comes in several variants for the transportation of troops, materials or equipment. OSHKOSH, Wis. – January 5, 2010 – Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE: OSK) announced that its Defense division has received a delivery order valued at more than $290 million from the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command Life Cycle Management Command (TACOM LCMC) to deliver more than 725 next-generation Palletized Load Systems (PLS) A1. The order was issued under the U.S. Army’s existing Family of Heavy Tactical Vehicles (FHTV) contract. Production will begin in April 2010 and be completed in September 2011.

“The modernized PLS A1 delivers superior performance and protection capabilities to help deliver supplies and equipment in some of the U.S. Army’s most demanding operations,” said Andy Hove, Oshkosh Corporation executive vice president and president, Defense. “The PLS truck and trailer combination can load and unload a variety of heavy-payload cargo, which helps eliminate the need for material-handling equipment and results in leaner, more efficient logistics units.”

The PLS A1 is the next generation of the PLS, which Oshkosh has manufactured for the U.S. Army’s distribution and resupply needs for its most challenging military missions. The vehicle features a Long Term Armor Strategy (LTAS)-compliant cab and a 600-hp engine. It also uses the Oshkosh-patented TAK-4® independent front suspension for greater off-road mobility. OSHKOSH, Wis. — Dec. 23, 2009 — Oshkosh Defense, a division of Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK), has been awarded a delivery order to an existing contract with the U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) for more than 10 Logistics Vehicle System Replacements (LVSR). The delivery order for the cargo variant of the vehicle is valued at more than $5 million and brings the total number of LVSRs under contract to 875.

Production and delivery of the LVSRs will be completed in October 2010, with all variants manufactured in the company’s Wisconsin facilities. Oshkosh delivered its requirement of nearly 40 LVSRs in November, and set a record production number for the program when it produced more than 40 in October.

With improved survivability, mobility and performance, the next-generation LVSR expands on the original Logistics Vehicle System (LVS) produced by Oshkosh Corporation in the early 1980s. The Oshkosh® LVSR is used by the U.S. Marine Corps for the on- and off-road transportation of heavy payloads, such as munitions, fuel, water and heavy equipment.

The Oshkosh LVSR vehicle is equipped with the Oshkosh Command Zone™ embedded diagnostics system and the company’s patented TAK-4® independent suspension system for superior off-road mobility in the most severe environments. OSHKOSH, Wis. — Dec. 22, 2009 — Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK) announced today that it has reached a milestone production rate for the MRAP All Terrain Vehicle (M-ATV) of 1,000 vehicles per month on December 18. The production for December is the sixth consecutive month Oshkosh exceeded delivery requirements. Since being awarded the contract on June 30, 2009, Oshkosh has been steadily ramping up production, and will continue at this rate of 1,000 vehicles per month through May 2010 to deliver the 6,619 vehicles currently under contract.

“Our employees gave a great effort to meet the aggressive production timeline for these urgently needed vehicles. These M-ATVs will help improve the safety and mobility of our soldiers and Marines in Afghanistan,” said Robert G. GAO Decision affirms Major Army Conclusions Supporting Oshkosh FMTV Award; Denies Challenges to $440 Million Dollars in Savings And Nearly All Other Protestor Complaints

OSHKOSH, Wis. — Dec. 17, 2009 — The U.S. Army’s conclusion that Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE: OSK) proposed the lowest price and has the capability and experience to build the Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV) was unchallenged by the Government Accountability Office’s (GAO) decision, released in redacted form today. The decision significantly expands on the GAO’s press release of December 14, 2009, regarding the protests against the U.S. Army’s award decision by BAE Systems and Navistar Defense.

The decision by the GAO upheld only two narrowly-defined aspects of the protests against the U.S. Army by the disappointed bidders, rejecting all of the numerous other protest grounds raised during the three-month protest process which covered virtually every aspect of the evaluation.

The GAO determined that the Army erred in evaluating one element of the broader production capability subfactor. To address this, the GAO recommended that the Army re-evaluate the offerors’ proposals as to this element and also determine whether there was any possible impact on a second element. These elements are just two of seven elements in the production subfactor of the capability evaluation factor, all of which receive less weight than price. The GAO provided no opinion as to whether the re-evaluation of these two elements would in fact change the award decision by the Army.

The Oshkosh proposed price is significantly lower than what the Government is currently paying the incumbent FMTV contractor and was revealed today to be nearly $440 million lower over the life of the contract than that proposed by incumbent BAE. Widely publicized protestor complaints relating to Oshkosh’s price, armored cab design, financial stability and manufacturing prowess all were denied by the GAO. The GAO stated in its decision, “With the exception of two areas, we find that the [Army’s] evaluation was reasonable.” Oshkosh Defense was awarded the contract on August 26, 2009.

“After a thorough acquisition process by the Army that began nearly seven months ago, followed by formal protests that took three months to resolve, we believe the Army will quickly and appropriately address the GAO’s recommendations,” said Robert G. Bohn, Oshkosh Corporation chairman and chief executive officer. “We believe that in its review, the Army will find that Oshkosh Corporation was and continues to be the correct choice for the FMTV contract, providing proven capability and the best value to the Army and the taxpayer.”

As the GAO’s decision reaffirms, Oshkosh was awarded the contract because the company bid the FMTV at a very competitive price while receiving excellent evaluations for meeting vehicle production and delivery requirements, including any possible production surges that might be required by the Army.

The U.S. Army has 60 days from December 14, 2009 to act on the GAO’s recommendations and report its findings.

“Oshkosh plans to build the FMTV and meet all of the Army’s objectives while saving hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars that the Army can use for other pressing requirements,” Bohn said. “And we will do this without impacting our other existing or proposed military vehicle contract programs.”

Bohn added, “It is important to realize the GAO’s decision did not recommend that the proposals be recompeted or revised, nor did it recommend termination of our contract. We believe that the redacted decision issued today further supports our assessment that Oshkosh is in a strong position to retain the contract when the two narrow issues on which the protests were upheld are reconsidered.”

OSHKOSH, Wis. — Nov. 19, 2009 — Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK) announced today that it is working with the city of Oshkosh on plans to expand the Company’s manufacturing facilities in Oshkosh, Wis. Oshkosh Corporation and the city of Oshkosh have been in good faith discussions since April 2009 on assistance from the city through the creation of a new tax increment financing (TIF) district. The TIF is pending approval by the Oshkosh Common Council and has the support of the city of Oshkosh and its partners, Chamco, Inc., the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce, the Oshkosh Area Economic Development Corporation and Winnebago County.

Plans center on a new 150,000-square-foot electrocoat (E-coat) painting facility in support of production of the U.S. Army’s Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV). The company plans to break ground on the new E-coat facility in December 2009, with start up beginning late summer 2010.

“We look forward to working with the city and the state as we move forward on this project, which was outlined in our original proposal to our customer. It is so important to have support from our community as we continue to build the products that protect the men and women in our military forces,” said Robert G. Oshkosh was awarded the FMTV five-year requirements contract in August 2009 for the production of up to 23,000 vehicles and trailers, as well as support services and training. The first delivery order is for $280.9 million for the production and delivery of 2,568 trucks and trailers. The FMTV is a series of up to 23 variants and 17 different models, ranging from 2.5-ton to 5-ton payloads. Production for initial test vehicles is planned for mid-2010, followed by full production in 2011.

While the contract is currently on hold pending protests, Oshkosh believes the award should be upheld and is continuing plans to meet the customer’s needs. The facility is planned to be used for the painting, coating and finishing of FMTV vehicles and parts and could also be able to support Oshkosh’s other product lines for its customers.

This is the fifth award Oshkosh has received to supply M-ATVs and brings the total number of vehicles Oshkosh will deliver to 6,219. The aggregate amount of the five awards is valued at more than $3.2 billion.

OSHKOSH, Wis. — Nov. 10, 2009 — Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK) announced today it exceeded the MRAP All Terrain Vehicle (M-ATV) delivery requirements for the fourth consecutive month. Oshkosh easily surpassed the October M-ATV production requirement by producing more than 150 additional M-ATVs over the contractual 385.

The company set record production numbers for both the M-ATV and Logistics Vehicle System Replacement (LVSR) programs at its manufacturing facilities in October, including a record 40 U.S. Marine Corps’ LVSRs. In fact Oshkosh produced a total of more than 1,250 tactical wheeled vehicles, meeting all contractual obligations for the month including the Family of Heavy Tactical Vehicles (FHTV) and Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacements (MTVR). The first M-ATVs and LVSRs have been delivered to Afghanistan in recent months to support ongoing combat and logistics operations.

OSHKOSH, Wis. — Oct. 21, 2009 — Oshkosh Defense, a division of Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK), has received a contract modification valued at $35 million from the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command Life Cycle Management Command (TACOM LCMC) for 102 next-generation Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Trucks (HEMTT A4). The trucks will be delivered by March 2010.

As part of the U.S. Army’s Family of Heavy Tactical Vehicles (FHTV) contract, two variants of the HEMTT A4s will be delivered to the National Guard. The 13-ton payload and off-road capabilities of the Oshkosh® HEMTT M985A4 cargo truck and M1120A4 load handling system enhance the capabilities of National Guard units for disaster relief at home or in-theater operations. The vehicle also features a more powerful drivetrain, improved suspension and a fully air-conditioned and armor-ready cab.

Oshkosh has produced more than 67,000 military-class vehicles at its facilities, including more than 30,000 FHTVs. Oshkosh has the available capacity, highly skilled workforce and proven manufacturing capability to deliver this FHTV order as well as vehicles for other Army and Defense programs, including the MRAP All Terrain Vehicle (M-ATV) and Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV).

Oshkosh Defense Awarded Additional 923 M-ATVs Valued at $408.5 Million

OSHKOSH, Wis. — Oct. 12, 2009 — Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK) announced today it has received an additional $408.5 million award from the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command Life Cycle Management Command (TACOM LCMC) for 923 MRAP All Terrain Vehicles (M-ATV) to be delivered to the U.S. Armed Forces through March 2010.

This is the fourth award under the M-ATV delivery order first awarded in June 2009, and brings the total number of vehicles Oshkosh will supply to 5,219. The aggregate amount of the four awards is valued at $2.76 billion.

“Our customer is preparing to field the first Oshkosh M-ATVs for use by warfighters in the Afghanistan theater of operations,” said Robert G. Bohn, Oshkosh Corporation chairman and chief executive officer. “As these vehicles begin making their way onto the battlefield to ensure our men and women are well protected and their missions remain on the move in even the harshest environments, we will continue to make the vehicle’s high-quantity production our top priority and provide any additional program support as needed.”

Answering an urgent need request for soldiers and Marines serving in Afghanistan, Oshkosh continues to deliver vehicles ahead of the government’s accelerated schedule and met September’s delivery requirement on Sept. 22. The company will ramp production up to 1,000 vehicles per month in December and continue at that level through at least March 2010. Existing Oshkosh Defense manufacturing facilities have available production capacity for all current and pending military vehicle programs, including M-ATV and the U.S. Army’s Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV), as well as any surges in production.

OSHKOSH, Wis. — Oct. 1 2009 — Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK) announced today that for the third consecutive month, it has exceeded its contract delivery requirements for MRAP All Terrain Vehicles (M-ATV). The September M-ATV delivery requirement for 100 vehicles was met on September 22, more than one week earlier than required.

Oshkosh Corporation is responding to an urgent call from the U.S. Armed Services for the accelerated delivery of M-ATVs for operations in Afghanistan. Since receiving the first order on June 30, 2009, Oshkosh has delivered ahead of schedule each month, enabling the MRAP Joint Program Office to fly M-ATVs to Afghanistan earlier than initial estimates. Oshkosh’s manufacturing facilities have available production capacity for all current and potential military vehicle programs, including the U.S. Army’s Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV), as well as any production surges.

Oshkosh Defense Awarded $801 Million Delivery Order for New and Recapitalized HEMTTs, PLS Trailers

OSHKOSH, Wis. — Sept. 29, 2009 — Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK), announced today that its Defense division has received a delivery order valued at $801 million from the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command Life Cycle Management Command (TACOM LCMC) for more than 2,450 new and recapitalized Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Trucks (HEMTT) and Palletized Load System Trailers (PLST). Work is expected to be completed by May 2011.

The delivery order calls for Oshkosh Defense to produce more than 1,190 new next-generation HEMTT A4s, more than 180 new HEMTT A2s and more than 80 PLSTs for the U.S. Army. Oshkosh also will deliver more than 1,020 recapitalized HEMTT A4s.

The Oshkosh® HEMTT’s 13-ton payload and off-road capabilities make it the backbone for the U.S. Army’s logistics fleet. Since its introduction in 1985, the HEMTT has helped keep the Army on the move during major conflicts such as Operations Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom. Improvements to create the HEMTT A4 include: a fully air-conditioned and armor-ready cab; more powerful drivetrain; improved suspension; and other structural changes to make installation of add-on armor in the field quicker and easier.

Built to load and unload a variety of cargo, the PLS is designed to meet the U.S. Army’s distribution and resupply needs in even the most challenging military missions. The PLS truck and trailer form a self-contained system that reduces the need for forklifts or other material-handling equipment. Additionally, they both carry a demountable cargo bed, also known as a flatrack that features a 16.5-ton payload capacity.

Through Oshkosh’s remanufacturing and recapitalization services, heavily used vehicles are returned to Oshkosh, stripped to their frame rails, completely rebuilt to like-new condition and upgraded to the new A4 configuration. Recapitalized vehicles are considered to have zero miles and zero hours, at a significantly reduced cost compared to new vehicles. These vehicles are put through the same road tests, performance tests and inspection procedures as new vehicles before being delivered with the same bumper-to-bumper warranty provided for new HEMTTs.
