Boeing to invest in Canadian companies as offset for C-17 buy

Under Canadian law Boeing will invest some $150 M Canadian in various companies as part of an offset for being awarded the contract for 4 C-17 aircraft. See the story here in The Star Phoenix. The law requires Boeing to invest 100% of the contract value in Canada.

Boeing Awarded $1.3 Billion Contract for C-17 fleet

Boeing has won a $1.3 Billion contract from the U.S. Air Force to upgrade weapons on the C-17 cargo aircraft. The contract has been awarded to Boeing’s McDonnell Douglas Corp. unit. The five year contract is an addition to an original contract awarded in 2001.
