Cubic to Provide Education, Leader Development, and Training Support Services to the U.S. Army Combined Arms Center and Fort Leavenworth
LEAVENWORTH, KS–(Marketwire – March 03, 2011) – Cubic Applications, Inc., a mission support services subsidiary of Cubic Corporation (NYSE: CUB), has received a new five-year contract to provide military training and education support to the U.S. Army’s Combined Arms Center (CAC) and Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Cubic is one of ten companies to win the five-year CAC Omnibus V Contract, which has a maximum value of $260 million.
The CAC Omnibus V Contract is the primary services support contract used by the Army’s Combined Arms Center and Fort Leavenworth to provide education, leader development, and training support services to the Army’s Training and Doctrine Command and its associated schools and centers. The contract vehicle allows commanders and program managers to obtain training and related support quickly, without losing focus on their primary missions. Areas of support include doctrine, organizational, training, combat, materiel, personnel, simulation, software and leader development. Other services include information technology and exercise support, data collection and analysis, studies, military research, knowledge management, mapping and terrain analysis, publication development and strategic communications.
Cubic has been a mainstay at Fort Leavenworth and is the only major contractor to successfully retain a position on every omnibus contract awarded for the past 20 years. Under the contract, Cubic Applications, Inc. will retain its leadership position in providing state of the art education and training to help shape the Army’s future generations of soldiers and leaders.
Cubic’s Training and Education Division in Leavenworth, Kansas, takes the lead for Cubic Applications, Inc. in this program.
