Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates and Deputy Secretary of Defense William J. Lynn have no public or media events on their schedules.

Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Adm. Mike Mullen will hold an All Hands Call with airmen from Joint Base Charleston's 628th Air Base Wing, 437th Airlift Wing and 315th Airlift Wing at 1:30 pm EDT in the base theater. During the All Hands Call, he will present three airmen with Bronze Star medals from their deployments to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Adm. Mike Mullen will address the workforce at Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic who are integrating the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected All Terrain Vehicle at 11 a.m. EDT at the Naval Weapons Station in Charleston, S.C.

Army Maj. Gen. Curtis Scaparrotti, commanding general for Combined Joint Task Force-82 and Regional Command East, and Dawn Liberi, senior civilian representative for Combined Joint Task Force-82, will brief the media live from Afghanistan at 10 a.m. EDT, June 3, in the DoD Briefing Room, Pentagon 2E973, to provide an update on ongoing operations in Afghanistan.
