PM J-AIT Nominees receive 2009 SOLE Award

Newington, VA, November 09, 2009 – The US Army Product Manager for Joint-Automatic Identification Technology (PM J-AIT) is pleased to announce that three PM J-AIT members and two members from Information Technology and Electronic Commerce Commercial Contracting Center (ITEC4) were recognized at the 2009 International Society of Logistics (SOLE) awards for their contributions towards the award of the RFID-III, passive RFID (pRFID), and the AIT-IV multi-vendor Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts over the past year. Mr. Jay Gulati, Mr. John Domin, and Mr. Joe Zagursky from PM J-AIT and Ms. Cathy Golden and Ms. Nonya Nichols from ITEC4 were honored on 28 October at the SOLE Awards Luncheon.

Lt. Col. Cary Ferguson, PM J-AIT, stated: “The leadership and thorough understanding of the customers’ needs displayed by these individuals ensured DoD and Government will recieve best value AIT and RFID solutions. We are proud of their significant accomplishments and dedication to not only our program, but our customers.”

The team’s efforts were instrumental in PM J-AIT meeting the needs of its diverse customer base by providing the technical knowledge and expertise on contract evaluation processes to ensure the Government received best value from the contracts awarded. Through their creative thinking, diligence and perseverance the team distinguished themselves in the field of contract management by establishing a total of 15 multi-vendor IDIQ contracts totaling a ceiling of $923.42 million between the AIT-IV, RFID-III, and pRFID contracts.

PM J-AIT, a part of the Program Executive Office, Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS) at Fort Belvoir, VA, is the DoD AIT and RFID leader providing global asset tracking, web-based RF-ITV services, and complete program life cycle support. PM J-AIT products and services are customer driven, instantly accessible, and updatable. PM J-AIT serves as the Executive Agent for RF-ITV infrastructure to DoD and Coalition partners in support of expeditionary logistics and the Joint Warfighter.
