SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA, October 20, 2009 — Cryocomp, the industry leader in cyrogenic and vacuum components, is now stocking evacuation tools for most liquid cylinders and dewars that allow users and owners to evacuate their own tanks.

Cryocomp’s line of vacuum interface tools permits users to evacuate their own cryogenic tanks and vacuum-insulated vessels for testing after rebuilding. This eliminates the need to rely on tank and vessel manufacturers for evacuation, testing, and rebuilding.

“Now we have vacuum valve operators that allow users or owners to test and re-vac their own tanks and vacuum insulated piping,” said Dennis Howland, president of DLH Industries, which produces Cryocomp products. These tools go by many names: vacuum valve operators, evacuation fixtures, evacuation valves, evacuations tools, and vacuum draw-down tools.

Cryocomp keeps a stock of vacuum valve operators to satisfy the urgent needs of most cylinder re-builders and owners. These valve operators are available with several options including ISO flanged outlets, see-through plastic bodies, and a threaded port for a thermocouple vacuum tube to monitor the vacuum level.

Cryocomp offers a complete line of vacuum valve operators to interface with most liquid containers and vacuum jacketed piping systems. These valve operators will work on vacuum seal off valves ranging in size from ¼” to 3” as found on many vessels including miniature oxygen containers, large vacuum vessels (MRI machines and large dewars), VJ piping systems, Taylor-Wharton and Chart liquid cylinders, Caire liquid containers, AI storage cans and many other application specific cryogenic containers.

Price and availability has always been a Cryocomp advantage. New tank draw-down valves are available in stock with various options. All are ready to ship.
