Russia’s Sukhoi fifth-gen fighter to fly this year
By MARTIN SIEFFWASHINGTON, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Russia's former defense minister and First Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov, who still spearheads high-tech development programs, said Wednesday the country's ambitious fifth-generation air superiority combat aircraft would take its first test flight before the end of 2009, RIA Novosti reported.
