NAVY

Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Conn., is being awarded a not-to-exceed $270,000,000 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-03-C-2101) for long lead time material associated with steam and electric plant, main propulsion unit, ship service turbine generator set components critical to maintaining submarine component industrial base and miscellaneous hull, mechanical and electrical system components in support of SSN 784 ship construction commencing in FY 09 (SSN 784). Work will be performed in Groton, Conn./Quonset Point, R.I. (5 percent); Newport News, Va. (5 percent); Sunnyvale, Long Beach and South El Monte, Calif. (40 percent); Coatesville, York and Cheswick, Penn. (10 percent); Temple and Tucson, Ariz. (5 percent), other efforts performed at various sites throughout the United States (35 percent), and is expected to be completed by July 2011. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington Navy Yard, D.C., is the contracting activity.

McDonnell Douglas Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Co., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a not-to-exceed $27,272,078 modification to a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (N00019-06-D-0007) for AV-8B Harrier post production support services, including engineering analysis, testing, suitability evaluations, effectiveness evaluations, configuration management support, and resolving reliability, availability, and/or supportability problems. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo. and is expected to be completed in November 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

LPI Technical Services, Chesapeake, Va.; QED Systems, Inc., Virginia Beach, Va.; Tecnico Corporation, Chesapeake, Va.; and East Coast Repair and Fabrication, Inc., Norfolk, Va., are each being awarded maximum value $23,731,000 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts to furnish the necessary management, technical services, labor, material, support services and equipment to accomplish a full range of depot-level repairs and alterations, troubleshooting, maintenance, installation, and removal of main and auxiliary, hull, mechanical and electrical equipment and systems onboard Navy and other military ships, submarines, boats and service craft. Work will be primarily performed in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia (Norfolk, Va. vicinity) and is expected to be completed by November 2008. Contract funds in the amount of $338,900 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contracts were competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website, with fifteen offers received. The Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center, USN, Portsmouth, Va., is the contracting activity. BREMCOR (a joint venture) Arlington, Va., is being awarded $14,003,906 to exercise an option under previously awarded firm-fixed-price, indefinite-quantity base support service contract (N62470-06-D-4611) for base operation and support services aboard U.S. Naval Base, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The award of this option brings the total contract value to $36,278,447. Work will be performed in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and work is expected to be completed November 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southeast, Jacksonville, Fla., is the contracting activity.

Rolls Royce Corp., Indianapolis, Ind., is being awarded an $11,134,509 modification to a previously awarded indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract (N00019-03-D-0002) to exercise an option for logistics support, technical engineering support services, and spare engines and associated parts for the Marine Corps KC-130J, which includes the AE2100D3 turboprop engine and R391 propeller. Work will be performed in Cherry Point, N.C., and is expected to be completed in May 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company, Sunnyvale, Calif., is being awarded $15,000,000 contract to provide nuclear weapon security program engineering services. Specific tasks will include program analysis, planning, and documentation support as well as project development and Integrated Product Team support. Work will be performed in Sunnyvale, Calif. (65 percent); Pittsfield, Mass. (22 percent); Kings Bay, Ga. (8 percent); Silverdale, Wash. (5 percent), and work is expected to be completed September 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was awarded based on a sole source acquisition. Strategic Systems Programs, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00030-08-C-0018).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Alaska Structures, Inc., Anchorage, Alaska, is being awarded a maximum $96,000,000 firm fixed price, indefinite delivery contract for a variety of shelters, components, and trailers. Using services are Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and federal civilian agencies. Other location of performance is New Mexico. The original proposal was web solicited with 13 responses. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is the 3rd option year being exercised. Date of performance completion is Nov. 29, 2008. AIR FORCE

Lockheed Martin Space Systems Co. of Sunnyvale, Calif., is being awarded a contract modification for $73,117,000. This contract will provide Orbital Operating Support for Satellite Operations and Sustainment of the Milstar and Defense Satellite Communications System III programs. The contract action exercises option 4, for the fifth year of performance on the five-year contract. The period of performance for this effort is Dec. 1, 2007 through Nov. 30, 2008. At this time $12,014,439 has been obligated. HQ MCSW/PK, El Segundo Calif., is the contracting activity (FA8808-04-C-0012, P00058).

Honeywell Incorporated, Defense and Space Electronics System of Clearwater, Fla., is being awarded a contract modification for $16,197,465. This action is to exercise options to purchase 199 embedded GPS/INS (EGI) units for the A-10, F-16, UH-60, and CH-47F platforms, and 9 EGI mounts for the MH-6 and MH-47 platforms through the Tri-Services EGI office at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. At this time all funds have been obligated. 577 AESS/PK, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Ohio, is the contracting activity (FA8628-06-C-2065, P00050).

Raytheon RF Components of Andover, Mass., is being awarded a contract for $8,854,413. The objective of the subject Defense Production Act Title III Program Technology Investment Agreement is to expand the domestic capability for the production of Atomic Layered Deposition Hermertically Coated Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit devices. At this time $8,000 has been obligated. AFRL/PKMD, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Ohio, is the contracting activity (FA8650-08-2-5517).

Missile Defense Agency Contract Award

AMPAC-ISP, Corp. of Niagara Falls, N.Y., is being awarded a $14,999,283 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract sole source contract to develop a low-cost, producible liquid divert and attitude control system for the Ballistic Missile Defense System. Work will be performed at Niagara Falls, New York and is expected to be complete by September 2010. Contract funds of $380,355 will expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Missile Defense Agency, Washington, D.C. is the contracting activity (HQ0006-08-C-0002). FY 07 research and development funds of $380,355 will be used at contract award. The contract will be incrementally funded.
